This Week I are Mostly Been….

  • Driving up to Wrexham in North Wales for Golf Monthly and a reader’s club test. Very foggy and very cold it were.
  • Shooting a portrait of James and Andrew who launched Going Going Bike, at a street market in Victoria for Triathlete’s World.
  • Spending all day in the studio shooting an abs supplement for Men’s Fitness.
  • Having my 3rd 5am start in less than a week by driving up to Gainsborough for Golf Monthly to photograph another reader’s club test, some stuff at Worksop GC, and finally a portrait of world No 1 golfer, Lee Westwood. It’s the 2nd time I’ve worked with him, and I can happily report that he’s still a top bloke, being world number 1 hasn’t changed him a jot.
  • Going to the Golf Monthly Christmas Party, coming a very close second in the quiz, and paying only a small amount into the swear box.
  • Getting almost all the wrapping done for christmas.
  • Culturally, (something I’ve not written about for ages), I watched Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll, read Mr Chartwell, Suez 1956, Anathem, and The Suspicions of Mr Whicher, though not all in one week, and have just got in from watching Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella, which was simply superb.
  • And finally, managed a decent bike ride for the first time in weeks, since all the snow’s melted, as well as the treacherous ice on the roads. Very worthwhile, but also very tiring since I’m so out of condition.
